You can manage your Seasonal Affective Disorder
Hola! I hope you've been well and flourishing! At the risk of making anyone who doesn't like walks in the drizzle feel envious (as I gather it's been pretty drizzly here over the last eight or nine days. But actually I quite like walks on a grey, misty day as they can cheer you up by getting your endorphins pumping around your system…yeah, ok, you do have to walk pretty darn fast to get those pumping around but at least I tried!) I had an amazing trip back to Cuba with one of my children. Whether because of work or travel all the family was far flung over the last couple weeks. I got to pitch up on a beautiful beach perfect for snorkeling. Mind you, I had to take some work with me so it wasn't all snorkelling bliss!
The most amazing highlight of the trip was when a pair of dolphins swam up to about 20 m from shore to frolic in front of the gathering crowd. The ‘crowd’ consisting of myself, my child and about three other each bunnies. I have been to a lot of beaches in a lot of far flung places and I've never seen dolphins swim that close and literally put on a show. It was captivating. It was one of those miracles of nature where we happened to be in the right place, at the right time, and the dolphins were feeling playful. I'm going to read up on dolphin behaviour - honestly I want to find out if this is very common.
As I've come back to a trillion e-mails (well that might be an exaggeration) this will be brief. But I wanted to flag up for you if you're heading out on a date that I had a piece on great date tips in the Express newspaper on Monday and it's on their website if you're heading out this weekend for a date then check it out.
Now how about if you have been away over the Easter break and you met someone in another country that really took your fancy? My blog on iVillage.co.uk today is about a woman who left her heart in Barcelona. You can check out on their site if you're involved in a transcontinental romance!
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I missed my ‘better half’ over the nine days I was away and so I did something that I've done before when we've been apart - and maybe you want to try if you're apart from a loved one. In little envelopes I put some of his favourite chocolates and little love messages (okay, so some of you are getting sick bags right now - but for those of you who are romantic at heart, read on) and hid them in various places I knew that he would come across. It's only a little gesture but I think when you're apart it's so nice to randomly find such things.
Looking forward to checking out your e-mails that you've been sending me and I will get around to putting up a new “your e-mail of the week" as soon as I can, lots of love, Pam X
