Come on England! We'll be glued with pals to the telly tonight - let's hope the boys pull out the stops! And come on USA for this afternoon!
Have just done my Big Brother body language feature for the Orange.co.uk website - it'll go live on Sunday so take a look if you want my initial thoughts.
Lots of good stuff in the papers today (if you can ignore the horror and heartbreak of the BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico) and I have one question to ask Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart -is it better to be late than never? I'm not so sure!
These two lovebirds have finally married after seven years together but unfortunately relationship research is against them - couples who marry after the 'golden window' of having been together between 18 months and 3 years are more likely to break up.
You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to realise that usually this is because one person has dragged their feet to the altar. And once the deed is done things often break down fairly quickly. Harrison and Calista might succeed in staying together because he's at an age now where he won't want it to fall apart. But I've seen many cases of people who have finally got married in years together only to have it fall apart..
With Father's Day on Sunday there's research showing how crucial conversations with your father are to your happiness. I'm not surprised that chatting with your dad can make you happier. Because fathers are often sadly more detached from the family, quality time with them becomes more meaningful.
I only wish my late father was still here so I could chat to him. I miss our conversations terribly. Lucky you if your dad is still around!
TODAY’S THOUGHT: I hope you’re going to spoil yours! My father was a complete health nut and he loves nothing more than receiving massive quantities of exotic tropical fruits for Father's Day. Honestly, there was nothing he wanted for and he loved indulging his passion for things like passion fruit!
If you're struggling with the green eyed monster and always worry that your partner's looking elsewhere or react with jealousy to any little 'suspicion', then please take a look at "your e-mail of the week" this afternoon as I'll post a heartfelt story from Angela about her experience of this.
Enjoy your Friday, love, Pam X
