Surprise, surprise a survey out today finds that men have more car crashes in the summer because they're looking at scantily clad women! Did we need a survey to tell us that?? Even my lovely hubby gives the sly glance to women in miniskirts and strappy tops.
That sort of thing has never bothered me - I like looking at attractive men - and men like looking at attractive women. It's human nature and nothing to get jealous about.
Had some delicious ‘mocktails’ with a pal last night - it was so humid there was no way I felt like alcohol. I'm extremely lucky that I can get just as giggly/silly on no alcohol as on alcohol. Call me a cheap date!
Can you believe that vicar conducting of those fake marriages?? Didn’t any local cotton on to the wider church was in constant use? Crikey, there's a church just around the corner from us and I'd sure notice if their bells were clanging night and day.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: talk about fake marriages, I've known people who got married for all the wrong reasons. Usually fear of loneliness or that they'll never find anyone better.
It's one thing to realise you're not going to get that person who has every possible desirable quality (who'd want the ‘perfect ‘person anyway? Wouldn't that be boring?) but it's another to marry someone you don't even like very much.
As an agony aunt I've heard it all but my heart sinks every time I get a letter along these lines. Usually a year or two after the marriage the person regrets bitterly having done it.
I'll definitely post a new "your e-mail every week" later today - time to e-mail me one and I might use yours! It's later today and I've just done this!
Enjoy this gorgeous, sunny Friday, Pam X
