Don't Let the Exam-Season Become a Disaster...Here's my advice to...
Going to face some of the sales today - are we mad? We've resisted so far but there are some household items we need so might as well face it with hubby at my side.
But then we've got a treat to meet up with one of our children for lunch - probably an old standby like Pain Quotidien for an energy-boosting salad and one of their healthy drinks. Not that I'm a saint or anything – I’ve managed to demolish chocolates from Hotel Chocolate, Thorntons, Belgium, the Divine brand (and their milk chocolate is divine!) and others over the last 10 days.
Introduced to some new music from the US/UK rapper called Theophilus London - listen to his new single Humdrum Town for a pretty chilled vibe. If I wasn’t running my website by myself I'd definitely find the time to set up a music recommendation chat area. But the exciting news is I'm going to try and start an "e-mail of the week" area where you can e-mail me and I choose one e-mail a week to post or answer if it's a dilemma. Watch this space. As I said since I don't have anyone to manage my site which I do on on top of working full-time, things will sometimes evolve slowly. So if I can please ask you to be patient with me.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: which brings me to patience - if we could all develop a little more our world would be a lot happier. Saw an awful exchange between a mum and child on the pavement in front of a shop yesterday - you know the scenario - she started screaming and the child was crying – so her screaming upset the child even more. Then she let loose a flurry of swear words - it was disgusting to watch. Emotional child abuse for all to see. I'm a mum and I know how angry you can get when young children aren’t doing what you want them to do but this is never an excuse for screaming at them horrible swear words. Makes me think of take that your "have a little patience".
Must dash- and get to the sales before everybody else gets the things I need! Take care, Pam X
