I hope "Love-day" brought some happiness for you! Having been ill nearly spoilt things for me - had a bit of a relapse Saturday night (work was crazy last week) but the hubster still took me out to the Paramount club for a candlelit dinner with fabulous views of London. I sniffled all the way through - not at all romantic(!) and I certainly wasn't up for dancing afterwards.
Poor old Gordon Brown - who advised him to give that interview? And Sarah Brown is such a smart woman, why did she agree too? I just don't think Piers Morgan is the right person to interview our Prime Minister. He's so showbiz and, yes, it's good for politicians to have the ‘common touch’ and understand about the way most of us live but I don't think these sorts of interviews that go into their tragic loss of baby Jennifer, their romance, his proposal to Sarah, help him be a better prime minister - or make him more likeable if that was the point of the exercise.
TODAY’S THOUGHT: more often than not we need to look at our motivations for doing certain things. I find this a fascinating part of human behaviour. Because sometimes our motivations - ranging from things like why Gordon Brown would ‘spill all’ to why Vernon Kay would send sexy texts - are complicated and we don't even understand them until we start picking apart.
Sometimes I surprise myself when I look at why I'm doing something - and I'm not always happy with my motivations. But maybe when we do a bit of soul-searching and reveal to ourselves just how complicated we are - it helps us grow even if the reality is that the tough to swallow. That sounds a bit cryptic, huh?
Have finally got to the Biffy Clyro CD - am hooked.
